Many brides approach us about accompanying their mass ceremony. The most elegant solution if you do not want an organist, is to substitute harp. This past weekend, at Christine and Josh’s wedding in Tom’s River, NJ, we sent Jama Jandrokovic to cantor and Kristi Shade on harp. For instrumental sections we added flute, violin and cello to the mix. The harp and voice were extraordinary, not to mention beautiful. A wonderful option for any wedding ceremony!
For Jessica and Carl’s wedding we played Des’ree’s Kissing You from the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack. It was fabulous and of course the Mandarin’s candlelit room was stunningly romantic. They recessed in celebration to One Love by Bob Marley. Everyone loved their selections!
We had an amazing time at Leah and Michael’s wedding yesterday! Outfitted by Darcy Miller and her team from Martha Stewart Weddings as well as fabulous coordinators Claudia and Jennifer from the Wedding Library. We are excited that we could be there. My photos pale in comparison to the amazing photos from Mel Barlow. Check out the Wedding Library post here.
It’s June… the month for weddings… and what better way to celebrate than to pop-up a store in Brooklyn just for you - the bride and groom? This is just what Claudia and the librarians are doing from the the wedding library. Head on over to Williamsburg where you’ll find the hippest of vendors (including us, more on that later! :) Along with Brooklyn Bride and Martha Stewart Weddings, the Wedding Library has scheduled a month long series of events including winning an all-expenses paid ceremony/honeymoon! If you’re wanting to get hitched in this one time chapel, it only costs $500! Check out the schedule here.

We thoroughly enjoyed the event this Sunday in Soho! We met a lot of great brides, performed over the lunch hour and had a great time interacting with the other wedding vendors. Thank you to Anna and the amazing team at Papyrus for hosting the event!

Rarely do we get the opportunity to play music for couples before their wedding day. But this evening we had the opportunity to play for Tyler as he proposed to his girlfriend in Central Park. (We would show photos of the proposal but it was a very intimate moment!)
Last night, The Wedding Library hosted an amazing event at The Harvard Club for all of their vendor members. It was fabulous! First off, there was a photobooth. The hit of the party! No matter what event you’re planning, you must rent a photobooth from our new friends at nycphotobooth! (See evidence below) Second, Liz and I met Gabriella from Matrimony Mony who is not to mention fun, but founded the most innovative company… they choreograph your first dance! You should really check them out.
